The “Shades of Green” discussion on Ukraine’s green recovery, organized by the Ukrainian Climate Office, WWF Ukraine, and CEE on November 21st, highlighted the importance of green investments. With around 50 participants from national and international climate policy stakeholders, the event aimed to translate the benefits of green investments into actionable steps for Ukraine.

German-Ukrainian Energy Day 2023

The annual German-Ukrainian Energy Day within the framework of the German-Ukrainian Energy Partnership strengthens the partnership between Germany and Ukraine, facilitating strategic engagement, knowledge exchange, and business opportunities within the energy sector. This year’s event was held in Berlin on the 25th of October. During the event, Robert Kirchner, Team Leader of the Low Carbon Ukraine project, participated in a panel on “Strengthening Frameworks for Sustainable Development and Market Integration of the Ukrainian Energy Sector”.

Intensifying German-Ukrainian Climate Cooperation in Times of War in Ukraine

The workshop, held on 27 February 2023 in Berlin and as a virtual event, was titled “IKI Implementation in War Times – Underpinning Ukraine’s Green Reconstruction with Ambitious Climate and Biodiversity Policy and Action”, and saw Ukrainian IKI projects discussing these issues together with political partners from Germany and Ukraine.
